I am committed to mending, tilling, seeding and evolving. I am committed to compassion and tenderness, charting new pathways, adopting new language, and shedding old, unworkable forces that society has put into place within us. I am an argonaut of the space around the body, an explorer of the inner terrain of organs, blood and bones, the hidden treasures of the past, present and future, tucked away under rocks and debris. I am an excavator of the riches under the soil of the everyday human, the mundane turbulence. I make dances that are invisible imprints, erratic impressions, exiled senses of being, the soft underbellies and mossy overgrowth temporarily exposed. I create spaces for bonding with our beloved selves, a mysterious harmony that we’ve been severed from through the archaic operations of capitalism, sensationalism, exceptionalism, and colonialism and all the damage that has been done. I make dances that fuse the human-body back into the living world.
